Australian superstar batter David Warner will not feature in IPL 2025 as the southpaw failed to attract any bidders in the IPL mega auction held in November. However, recent developments are that he has registered himself for the Pakistan Super League draft, marking his maiden entry into the league. In the past, Warner received an offer to play in the PSL 2019 but declined at that time. Now, he is set to see another major T20 league, and it will be interesting to see how things come for him.
Speaking of his IPL career, Warner had an illustrious journey that began in 2009 with the Delhi Capitals then Delhi Daredevils, where he played until 2013. His most memorable moment came in 2016 when he led the Sunrisers Hyderabad to their first IPL title. However, his time with SRH ended on a sour note as he was sacked from the captaincy and the playing XI in 2021.
Warner joined the Delhi Capitals again in the IPL 2022 mega auction, where he had a three-year stint and captained the team in IPL 2023. Unfortunately, after a lacklustre last season, the Delhi Capitals released him, and no team opted to purchase this champion player for the IPL 2025 season.
