IRE VS NZ LIVE: Dane Cleaver, Ish Sodhi, Michael Bracewell star as New Zealand continue Irish mauling, win 2nd T20I by 88 runs – Check Highlights
Chasing 180 to win and save the series, Ireland got off to the worst possible start with Jacob Duffy striking a double blow to dismiss Paul Stirling and Gareth Delany in quick succession. The in-form Harry Tector was run out leaving a lot to do for captain Andy Balbirnie.
Balbirnie, Lorcan Tucker and George Dockrell fell in the space of four runs as Ireland slipped to a shameful 45/6 in front of their home support. Curtis Campher also failed to make a mark as the hosts were staring at a three-figure defeat at 54/7.
However, Mark Adair played some lusty blows, while Barry McCarthy gave him company in a 37-run stand. Adair managed 27 to keep the hosts in the game but Michael Bracewell ended all those hopes with a sensational hat-trick to bundle Ireland out for 91. The leg-spinner in just his first over became the third Kiwi to pick up a hat-trick, with Jacob Oram and Tim Southee being the other two.

Earlier, Ireland won the toss and put New Zealand into bat. Finn Allen gave the Kiwis a rousing start even as Martin Guptill struggled at the other end. Cleaver walked into bat and No.3 and looked in fine touch, building partnerships with Guptill, Glenn Phillips and Dary Micthell to keep the scoreboard ticking. Cleaver batted through the innings to score his maiden T20I half-century in just his second game to win the player of the match award.
