IPL’s miss, England’s gain: Jofra Archer set for T20 World Cup return

ICC T20 World Cup: Jofra Archer set to return to England Cricket Team for T20 World Cup as snubbing IPL 2024 worked wonders

Jofra Archer is set to get his chance in the England Squad for the ICC T20 World Cup. Now this has worked wonders for Jofra Archer. He missed out IPL 2024 citing workload management. And now it is all gains for the English pacer. After back to back injuries and surgeries, Archer is highly likely to make the England squad for the Caribbeans.

After a roughly two-year injury break, the ace pacer is set to join the Three Lions for the mega tournament. Interestingly, back during the ODI World Cup, Jofra Archer flew to India to train with the team. He was not up for selection, but continued his rehab in India.

But it is high pressure on England Cricket Team. The Three Lions will be desperate to defend their title. And the inclusion of Archer in the team greatly increases their death bowling attack.

But that’s not all. Archer will be tested in the 4-match T20I series against Pakistan. England play these 4 matches just a week prior to the start of the ICC T20 World Cup.

It can be claimed that Archer’s decision to snub IPL 2024 has worked wonders. Workload management plays a big part and English players have decided to prioritise T20 World Cup over IPL this season. It remains to be seen how Archer copes up after his long absence from the game.
