IPL stars including, Prabhsimran Singh, Mayank Markande and Ramandeep Singh helped Punjab beat Namibia in the 3rd unofficial ODI match played on July 7 (Sunday). With this win, Punjab has now clinched the series, with two ODI’s still remaining in the ongoing fixture.
Speaking about 3rd Punjab vs Namibia ODI, the international side batted first. However, Namibia could only manage to score 147 runs before losing all 10 wickets within 39.3 overs. The likes of Malan Kruger, Michael Vin Lingen skipper Gerhard Erasmus, JJ Smit and Pierre Kotze all got starts, but all of them failed to convert it to a bog score.
For Punjab, Mayank Markande was the most successful bowler, taking three wickets for his side. Siddharth Kaul and Sanvir Singh took two wickets each. While the likes of Aardhya Shukla, Ramandeep Singh, and Jassinder Singh scalped one wicket each for their side.
Prabhsimran Singh awarded player of match
Coming out to chase just 148 to seal the series, Punjab batters did not take much time to close out the match. Prabhsimran Singh’s 88 off 49 balls (8 fours and 6 sixes) and Anmolpreet Singh’s 53 off 36 balls (6 fours and 3 sixes) ensured that the target was chased within 15 overs as they completed another thumping win in the Punjab vs Namibia ODI series.
Prabhsimran Singh was awarded player of the match for his excellent knock as his side completed another dominating performance in the series. The 4th Punjab vs Namibia ODI match will be played on July 9 (Tuesday)).
