Ishan Kishan is on a comeback trail. The man was included in the IND A team for Australia tour, and before that, he smashed tons in Ranji Trophy, and the Duleep Trophy as well. He is back in the mix, getting a lot more chances, and had also spoken recently about, how he was hungry to play an international match for Team India.
Alas! All that was not enough for him to be retained by MI, when the IPL Retention were made public on Friday. Perhaps, one of the reasons could have been his poor record in IPL 2024, where he only managed to score 320 runs in 14 matches, with just one fifty to his name. In 105 matches, the left-hander has scored 2644 runs, with a highest-score of 99. He averages 28.43 and can change any match in a span of few deliveries.
Now, that also opens the gates for him to go to a team like DC, who are likely to not retain Rishabh Pant. They must be itching to get the services of another swashbuckling batter.
