IPL players to watch out for in PSL 2024 final between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United

While Multan Sultans and Islamabad United will take each other on in the final, some IPL franchises will keep a close eye on proceedings to see how their players fare in the match.

The Pakistan Super League 2024 final will see Multan Sultans take on Islamabad United in what is expected to be a closely fought encounter. While both teams fight for glory, there will be players that Indian Premier League franchises will keep a close eye on. Some of these players are part of IPL franchises and the franchises would want them to be back with their teams in as good a shape as possible. Here are the players of IPL 2024 that will feature in the PSL 2024 final.

David Willey

David Willey, an English all-rounder who is currently plying his trade for Multan Sultans, has been a vital part of the PSL team. Although the all-rounder hasn’t been too influential with the bat in PSL 2024, he has more than made up with his wicket taking skills. The 34-year-old left-arm seamer has taken 14 wickets in 10 matches of PSL 2024 so far. More than his wickets, his healthy average of just over 20 has helped him keep his place in the Multan Sultans team. Willey is a part of the Lucknow Super Giants franchise in IPL 2024 and the KL Rahul-led side will expect Willey come out all guns blazing in IPL 2024.

Tom Curran

Another English all-rounder Tom Curran was part of the Islamabad United franchise but was ruled out of PSL 2024 with a knee injury. Tom Curran suffered the injury during Big Bash League 2023-24 and has not returned to competitive cricket since. Curran is a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore outfit and Virat Kohli’s team will hope the all-rounder can make his comeback before IPL 2024.

Reece Topley

English seamer Reece Topley was part of the Multan Sultans outfit but he too was ruled out of PSL with a finger injury. The English bowler suffered the injury in the ODI World Cup 2023 against South Africa and has been unable to return to the cricketing field since then. Royal Challengers Bangalore roped in Topley for RS 1.90 crore in 2023 but he could not play IPL 2023 after the first match due to an injury. This time around too, the seamer’s participation in IPL is doubtful, although RCB are yet to name any replacements.
