Sarfaraz had a prolific outing in the last concluded Ranji Trophy. Speaking about his first-class career, he averages 79.65 with 13 hundreds and nine fifties. However, Khan has once again been ignored by the selectors. The right-handed batter has had a few problems with the short bowling. Playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL, the young batter did not had much of a say in a few chances that he got.

Abhimanyu Easwaran was part of the Test series against Bangladesh last year. However, the batter did not made his debut in that series. In Ranji Trophy 2023 season, the right-handed batter shattered 798 runs with 3 tons and 3 fifties. Speaking about his overall numbers in Ranji Trophy, he has amassed 6556 runs in 150 innings at an average of 47.85, with a best of 233.

On the other hand, the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad had a flawless season with the bat in IPL 2023. However, that does not mean that both Jaiswal and Gaikwad have not performed in the domestic arena. To note, Jaiswal has a first-class average of 80.21 across 26 innings.

Gaikwad’s numbers in Tests aren’t hugely impressive. He has an average of 42.19 after 28 first-class games would suggest, but they are improving;. In 2022-23 edition, it was the first time that Gaikwad averaged above 50 in a Ranji Trophy season.
