1. Ben Stokes (SRH)

Insidesport

With the highest purse remaining among franchises, SRH are expected to bid for England’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes. The Hyderabad-based franchise might also be tempted to hand over the leadership role to Stokes in the upcoming edition. Stokes hold a lot of experience in both international and franchise-based cricket. The Orange Army might surely bid for the star all-rounder to boost their chances of winning the IPL.

2. Sam Curran (PBKS)

Insidesport

Ahead of the mini-auction, Punjab Kings released West Indies all-rounder Odean Smith, and they also have a spot open for an international bowling all-rounder. Sam Curran has also previously played for the Punjab Kings, having only played for the Mohali-based team to begin his IPL career. The Kings from Punjab have the financial clout to defeat the competition and re-sign their former player with INR 32.20 crore in the bank.

3. Cameron Green (DC)

IPL 2023 Auction

Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting recently hinted that the Capitals franchise have saved a large chunk of money to bid for Cameron Green. Green made a name for himself in the shortest format. He opened for Australia against India and smashed 61 off 30 balls in Mohali. He repeated that feat with 52 of 21 in Hyderabad to attract IPL franchises’ attention. With Rs 19.45 Cr in the purse, DC will go all in for Green.

4. Mayank Agarwal (LSG)

Insidesport

The Super Giants did not have a solid number three during their fourth finish in IPL 2022 season. They tried as many as six players at three, but none could get going. Mayank Agrawal can be their best bet in the IPL mini-auction. He can bat aggressively, as well as drop anchor when either of the openers KL Rahul or Quinton de Kock fails at the top. Agarwal had a dismal season in IPL 2022 with PBKS, and the veteran will be keen to prove a point.

5. Shivam Mavi (GT)

Insidesport

The defending champions traded their ace-pacer Lockie Ferguson ahead of the upcoming auction. With Nehra revealing that GT requires a pacer, Shivam Mavi might be a prime contender to fit in GT’s camp. Mavi has been on and off in the IPL so far, but his brute speed might help the defending champions to scalp some wickets in the middle-overs.

6. Narayan Jagadeesan (KKR)

Insidesport

The two-time IPL champions released a total of 16 players ahead of the next season, which includes both Jackson and Indrajith. But with purse constraints and a lot of spots to fill, KKR can go for some domestic stars. KKR will target Jagadeesan who had a superb season in the recently conducted Vijay Hazare Trophy. The wicketkeeper-batter smashed 830 runs in 8 matches at an average of 138.33. He finished as the highest run-getter.

7. Jason Holder (MI)

Insidesport

The biggest news from MI is they let go of Keiron Pollard. Jason Holder is up for grabs, and MI can look to add the all-rounder among the mix. With Bumrah, and Archer set to open the bowling, MI needs a middle-order enforcer, someone who can pick regular wickets. Holder provides that option and is also pretty handy with the bat in hand.

8. Manish Pandey (RR)

Ahead of IPL 2023 auction, Rajasthan Royals released the likes of Rassie van der Dussen and Daryl Mitchell. With a power-packed batting line-up including Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Sanju Samson, RR might require a top-order who can play an anchor role. Pandey has a lot of experience in IPL and he can be an ideal Number 3 batter for the Jaipur-based franchise.

9. Kane Williamson (CSK)

The CSK team management might want to bag the services of New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and hand over the captaincy to him once Dhoni retires from the IPL. To note, CSK has INR 20.45 crore in its kitty, and the Yellow Army might need to spend a decent chunk of that amount to grab Williamson in the auction. It remains to be seen if Williamson will don the yellow jersey in the upcoming season.

10. Reece Topley (RCB)

Insidesport

Reece Topley has been the star white-ball performer with the ball for England in 2022. Whether it’s his bounce or accuracy with lines and lengths, Topley can move the ball both ways, and his height has helped him bowl well at the death. Topley could be a perfect foil for someone like Harshal Patel in the RCB line-up.
