Day 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is scheduled for November 24, with 84 players set to go under the hammer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A total of 577 players are set to participate in the auction, comprising 367 Indian and 210 overseas cricketers. Initially, the pool consisted of 574 players but was later expanded to include England’s Jofra Archer, USA’s Saurabh Netravalkar, and India’s Hardik Tamore. The franchises aim to fill 204 slots, with 70 reserved for overseas players. By the end of the auction, each team must finalize a squad of at least 18 players.
