Batsman Manish Pandey reunited with Kolkata Knight Riders after he was picked for Rs 50 lakh at the IPL 2024 auction. Pandey, who went unsold in the initial round of the auction, was picked by his former franchise for his base price at the accelerated round. The Karnataka batsman was previously with the franchise for a couple of years, during which Gambhir was leading the side.

Manish Pandey was picked up by KKR in IPL 2014 auction post which he became a vital part of the side’s batting line-up. Pandey was a part of the Gambhir-led side that clinched the IPL trophy in 2014. Gambhir led KKR from 2011 to 2017, with an impressive 56.55% win percentage.
The southpaw, who was with the LSG till IPL 2023, has returned to KKR as their mentor ahead of IPL 2024.
Manish Pandey was the first Indian batter to score a hundred in IPL history. He is known for his explosive batting but in last season he had a poor performance. He scored just 160 runs in 10 matches in the last edition of the IPL.
