IPL Auction 2022: Rajasthan Royals buy Prasidh Krishna – It looked certain for LSG acquiring the player, as they were aggressive in the bidding, ultimately blackout when Rajasthan Royals reached the 10 Crore mark. Prasidh Krishna has been a good buy for the one-time champions who will be eager to challenge the title in IPL 2021 since their only win in 2008.

Krishna had a good season in IPL 2021 for the Kolkata Knight Riders where he played 10 games and managed to bag 12 wickets. The young bowler will be a deadly pair alongside Trent Boult for the Rajasthan team as they will look to terrify the opponent batters.

Earlier, Wriddhiman Saha and Sam Billings went unsold in the auction while Ishan Kishan was picked up by Mumbai Indians for Rs 15.25 crore.
Dinesh Karthik went to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Jonny Bairstow was acquired by Punjab Kings.

IPL Auction 2022: Rajasthan Royals buy Prasidh Krishna – Earlier, Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 10.75 crore while India all-rounder Washington Sundar was picked up by SunRisers Hyderabad for Rs 8.75 crore. Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh garnered interest from quite a few franchises and in the end, he was picked by Delhi Capitals for Rs 6.5 crore.

Earlier in the auction, India opening batter Shikhar Dhawan was acquired by Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 5 crore. Australia Test captain Pat Cummins was taken by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs 7.25 crore.

INR 2 Crore Bracket: Some of the big international names who have made themselves available are Pat Cummins (Australia, base price Rs 2 crore), David Warner (Australia, Rs 2 crore), Steve Smith (Australia, Rs 2 crore), Quinton de Kock (South Africa, Rs 2 crore), Faf du Plessis (South Africa, Rs 2 crore) and Mark Wood (England, Rs 2 crore), Kagiso Rabada (Rs 2 crore), Dwayne Bravo (Rs 2 crore)
