Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have landed in Chennai. The Rajat Patidar-led team won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 opener against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 22. From Kolkata, they then came to Chennai to face the 5-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 28 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
RCB arrive in Chennai to face CSK
In a video that has emerged online, Virat Kohli can be seen at the Chennai International Airport along with the whole RCB squad and support staff.
RCB has been on the road since March 19. They travelled about 1500 kilometres to Kolkata first, and now they have made their way to Chennai, which is 1400 kilometres away. However, given they beat KKR easily, they won’t be tired but rather eager to take on CSK.
RCB may have won their first match, but they have an issue. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has picked up a minor injury, and that is why he didn’t play against KKR. Many thought that captain Patidar and head coach Andy Flower made a blunder by not picking their Rs 10.75 crore pick in the IPL 2025 opener.
It turns out Bhuvneshwar is injured. Although RCB has provided an update on his fitness, we won’t know until he takes the field on March 28 against CSK.
