After facing failures in the first four games, the 24-year-old PBKS opener sizzled with a 103-run knock against CSK. He created history by scoring the fastest century by an uncapped Indian player in the history of IPL, reaching the milestone in just 39 deliveries. Arya turned out to be another gem unearthed and given a big platform via the IPL.
2. Abhishek Sharma (SRH)
It took 6 games for the prolific SRH opener to finally rediscover his form. And when he did, he displayed a stunning performance like no one can ever do. Abhishek smashed 141 runs against PBKS, becoming the Indian with the highest score in IPL history. His knock was studded with 14 fours and 10 sixes. To top it all, he dedicated his knock to his mentor Yuvraj Singh, Indian captain SKY, his parents and the Orange Army.
3. Nicholas Pooran (LSG)
Pooran continued on his red-hot form in week 3 of IPL 2025 as well. With an unbeaten 87 against KKR followed by 61 against GT, the LSG star reclaimed the Orange Cap from Sai Sudharsan. Right now, Pooran has 4 fifties from 6 matches, with a strike rate of 215.43 and averages 69.80.
4. Shreyas Iyer (Punjab Kings)
The PBKS skipper had a rare failure against CSK, given how good he has been over the past few months. However, he made it up with a scintillating 82-run knock against SRH, albeit in a losing cause. He continues to occupy the number 4 position on Insideport’s Team of the Week and is the captain as well.
5. KL Rahul (Delhi Capitals)
Rahul stomped his authority at his home ground Bengaluru with a fiery 93-run knock against RCB. Like Iyer, the Karnataka star’s fine form also spilt into week 3 of IPL 2025. His aggressive celebration of “this is my ground” explained how much that knock meant for him. Besides, it was also a statement made, aimed at the RCB management who seemed to have showed interest to buy him at the auction but ignored him.
6. Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians)
The MI captain had another good week, especially in the game against RCB. Although he made 42 with the bat and finished with figures of 2/45 with the ball, MI did not manage to win the game. However, Pandya marshalled his troops effectively to help MI break free of their losing streak and win against DC on Sunday.
7. Krunal Pandya (RCB)
The RCB all-rounder continues to enjoy a dream run in IPL 2025 after moving from LSG. Krunal’s best figures of the week was his 4/45 against his brother’s team MI. His spell helped RCB breach the Wankhede fortress for the first time in nearly a decade. He followed it up with spells of 0/19 and 1/29 in the games against DC and RR respectively.
8. Sunil Narine (KKR)
Although the all-rounder is used as an opener in KKR, he is slotted at number 8 in our Team of the Week, playing as a pure spinner. His spell of 3/13 against CSK at the Chepauk helped the defending champions wreak havoc on the hosts. He helped KKR clinch a mammoth victory over Dhoni and co. with a blazing 44-run knock.
9. Kuldeep Yadav (Delhi Capitals)
The Delhi Capitals bowler seems to be getting better with each passing game. He recorded figures of 2/17 and 2/23 against RCB and MI respectively in the last week.
10. Prasidh Krishna (Gujarat Titans)
The GT pacer managed to get 7 wickets in the course of just one week. He has turned out to be the team’s most consistent pacers and a wicket-taking bowler. His spells from last week are 2/25, 3/24 and 2/26.
11. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (RCB)
Kumar continued to improve with each passing game for RCB, spearheading the team’s pace attack along with Hazlewood. 1/48, 2/26 and 1/32 are Bhuvi’s figures from the previous week.
