Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill struck his second half-century of IPL 2025 against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium on Saturday.
Shubman Gill was in top form for India in the ODI format before IPL 2025. But he has been overshadowed by Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler in the Gujarat Titans’ top-order.

However, Gill, India’s ODI vice-captain, is beginning to come into his own. After starting off with 33 against Punjab Kings, and followed it up with 38 against Mumbai Indians. Gill was dismissed for 14 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and 2 against Rajasthan Royals; sandwiched between these two games was an unbeaten 61 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
On Saturday, Gill and Sudarshan were in top form and helped their team to another strong start. Gill pieced the gaps beautifully and smashed his 22nd IPL fifty off 31 balls.
Shubman Gill has been one of the most consistent batters in the IPL over the last several years. He has scored over 400 runs in every season since 2020 and won the Orange Cap with 890 runs in 2023.
