Punjab Kings (PBKS )are reportedly retaining three stars who were at their absolute best for IPL 2025. Ahead of the October 31 deadline for the franchises to submit their IPL retention list, a report has claimed that the side is keen to retain pacer Arshdeep Singh along with breakout stars Ashutosh Sharma and Shashank Singh. The duo of Sharma and Singh had a brilliant season in IPL 2024, sizzling with the bat despite being the underdog batters in the side.

Ashutosh Sharma made his debut for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2024 and went on to play 11 matches in the season. A regular in the XI, Sharma impressed with his performances with the bat, amassing 189 runs with a highest score of 61. His strike rate is something to watch out for, hovering over 160 which provided the perfect setting for the PBKS batters to go about their job.
Shashank Singh, the ‘wrong one’ picked by PBKS in the IPL 2024 auction turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the franchise. In 14 matches that he played in IPL 2024, he scored 423 runs, emerging as one of the top scorers for the team. With two half-centuries to his name, the middle-order batter displayed glimpses of his destructive abilities in terms of dealing in boundaries.

Arshdeep Singh has gone on to spearhead the bowling attack for PBKS over the last few seasons. Being a first-choice bowler for India in the shortest-format of the game, the pacer has been consistent in delivering with the ball for the IPL side. He was initially roped in to PBKS in 2019 following which was bagged by the franchise for Rs 4 crore in the IPL 2022 auction. He has 76 wickets to his name from 65 IPL matches so far.
