So then, every team has played a match each in the IPL 2025 and now it is time for game 6 on Wednesday, between RR and KKR, in Guwahati. The Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson-led team find themselves at the bottom of the points table for now, just because they played poorly, or rather bowled poorly vs SRH, to lose the match by 44 runs. That had also to do with the attack they chose. But it is time now for them to make amends.
InsideSport takes a look at the RR predicted XI vs KKR.
Jofra Archer Out, Wanindu Hasaranga In
The English pacer Jofra Archer was beyond bad in the first match, where he not only leaked 76 runs in 4 overs, but also became the most expensive bowler in IPL history. Riyan Parag needs to get rid of him, and get in Sri Lankan spinner Hasaranga, who is one of the best bowlers in the format. In 26 IPL matches, he has 35 wickets to his name, at an economy of 8.13.
Akash Madhwal Needs to Replace Tushar Deshpande
The ploy to play Tushar Deshpande over an in-form Madhwal, too looked a bit senseless. Even though the Mumbai lad did pick up three wickets, but he was very expensive, and leaked 44 runs in 4 overs. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Madhwal had picked up eight wickets in 5 matches, at an economy of 8.73.
No Real Change Needed in Batting, Sanju Samson to Continue As Impact Sub
Once again, Sanju Samson will be the impact sub for the team, given his injury. But then the team batter decently well against SRH the other day. Samson himself scored 66 from 37, while Dhruv Jurel was devastating with 35-ball 70. Shimron Hetmyer was brilliant with 42 from 23, and Shubham Dubey showed his hitting prowess with 34 from 11.
RR Predicted XI vs KKR, IPL 2025
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag(c), Nitish Rana, Dhruv Jurel(wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Shubham Dubey, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Sandeep Sharma, Akash Madhwal.
RR Impact Sub: Yudhvir Charak/Kunal Singh Rathore. (*If batting first. If RR chase, then Sanju comes in as Impact Sub)
