IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals drop major hint ahead of IPL 2025 Retention Day

Ace captain Sanju Samson expected to be number 1 pick for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 Retention Day

Just a week remain before the IPL Retention deadline day. And now Rajasthan Royals have dropped a major hit about their Retention List. One of the major hints include the retention of their skipper Sanju Samson. The RR captain was spotted alongside the team’s upper management which includes the likes of Rahul Dravid and Kumar Sangakkara.

Rajasthan Royals will be determined to retain their core strength of players in the IPL Retention. And the usual suspects in the Retention List include 3 Indians. They are captain Sanju Samson, ace opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and destructive middle order batter Riyan Parag.

Who will Rajasthan Royals retain for IPL 2025?

Since the first edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Rajasthan outfits haven’t won any title. And in their bid to win the second title, RR will be extremely strategic in selecting their retention list.

The first name that comes on the table is their captain Sanju Samson. It is believed that Samson will retained as the number 1 pick and is expected to earn 18 crores. On the other hand, the second choice if star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal who is expected to earn 14 crores.

Lastly comes Riyan Parag. The Assam batter found good form last season which earned him a National Team call up in the shortest format of the game. He is expected to be the third pick for a price of 11 crores. As for the foreigners, it remains to be seen if RR decides to retain Jos Buttler or Trent Boult.
