Such excruciating was the pain, that he immediately limped off the field, leaving teammate Marcus Stoinis to complete the over.

The incident happened in the last over of the powerplay, with Sunrisers Hyderabad openers — Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma going all guns blazing for the 246 run-chase, scoring 77/0 in 5.2 overs. Meanwhile, this is the second high-profile injury during IPL 2025, with another Kiwi, Glenn Phillips having been ruled out of the tournament already, due to a groin issue.
