IPL 2025: List of most expensive uncapped players sold in auction

While capped players usually grab attention in the IPL, the recent mega auction saw many uncapped players receiving big cheques and set for IPL 2025. Take a look at the most expensive uncapped players sold.

Uncapped players are often seen as assets to IPL teams. In the last IPL, we saw a perfect example of how players like Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma played wonderfully for Punjab Kings. In the past, many Indian uncapped players first burst onto the IPL scene and later became reliable players for the Indian team. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya are the best examples of this.

In the recently held auction, many teams went all out to buy emerging uncapped players, some of whom were bought for surprising prices, while others’ prices seemed justified due to their strong performances in domestic cricket. Take a look at the top 3 players who received big cheques in the IPL 2025 mega auction and are set for IPL 2025.

Rasikh Salam

Rasikh Salam, hailing from Kulgam district, captured significant attention by securing a INR 6 crore signing. Royal Challengers Bengaluru picked up this pacer, known for his ability to swing the ball both ways. With previous IPL experience as part of Mumbai Indians and KKR, Rasikh is now expected to shine in the RCB camp. He is set to be one of the key bowlers in the team, alongside Yash Dayal.

Naman Dhir

Released ahead of the auction but brought back during auction, Naman Dhir is all set for another good season with Mumbai Indians. The camp showed their faith in him, and now this 24-year-old batter, who received a hefty sum of INR 5.25 crore, is going to be one of the most important players for the team. He is sure to get a chance in the playing XI consistently.

Nehal Wadhera

Having played wonderfully for Mumbai Indians, Naman Dhir is now set to represent Punjab Kings after MI released him ahead of the mega auction. Punjab Kings bought him for a hefty price of INR 4.20 crore, and now this batter will look to make the most of it for PBKS in IPL 2025.
