IPL 2025: List of England players sold in mega auction

English players always bring a full pack of entertainment to the IPL. Take a look at all the English players who grabbed attention in the recently held auction and are set for IPL 2025.

A total of 37 English players went under the hammer in the IPL 2025 mega auction, with 12 receiving big money. A total of INR 70.25 crore was spent across all English players by the IPL franchises. Over the years, there have always been some big English players who made a significant impact in the IPL, such as Kevin Pietersen in the past, and now Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer are the big guns from the English camp. Archer, who was not part of last year’s IPL, is now set to make a comeback after receiving a big cheque from Rajasthan Royals. Franchises have come in and bought some giant English players this time, including fierce batters and bowlers. As mentioned, a total of 70.25 crore was spent on them. Many changes have occurred in the teams, with Buttler, who has been with Rajasthan Royals for the past few years, now joining the IPL 2022 winners, Gujarat Titans. Meanwhile, Sam Curran is back in the yellow jersey. Curran is no stranger to the CSK camp, having joined in 2020, but was released after the 2021 season. He was then acquired by PBKS for a hefty price of INR 18 crore, and now he returns to the five-time champions.

Players like Liam Livingstone and Phil Salt, who are known for giving attacking starts, will also be part of IPL 2025, making it an interesting season from the England players’ side. It is expected that these players will play a regular role in the playing XI for their respective teams.
