In the IPL 2025 auction, more money was spent on bowlers than on batters. A total of Rs. 232.90 crore was allocated to bowlers, compared to Rs. 212.50 crore for batters.

The big IPL 2025 auction happened with a lot of excitement over two days in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Each team came in with their own plans, choosing players who would match their dream team perfectly.

Who got more money: batters or bowlers?

The auction showed interesting spending patterns. A total of Rs 212.50 crore was spent on batters, out of which 53.75 crore spent alone of Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. Teams wanted players who could change the game with their batting power. On the other hand, mammoth of Rs. 232.90 crore was spent on bowlers, who are important for their ability to control the game with their skills. Punjab Kings secured the most expensive bowler on the name of Arshdeep Singh. The Indian pacer was bought by his same old franchise for 18 crore rupees. He becomes the most expensive bowler in this season.

Punjab Kings: Big spenders on batters

Punjab Kings spent a lot on batters, putting ₹39.40 crore into getting top batters. Punjab’s plan is to have a strong batting lineup that can score lots of runs, making it difficult for opponents. They also spent 18 crore rupees on bowler Arshdeep Singh, but majority of the money went to batters.

Rajasthan Royals: Strong focus on Bowlers
