Mumbai Indians revert to old IPL success blueprint, appoint Paras Mhambrey as bowling coach

The Mumbai Indians have strengthened their coaching ranks with the addition of Paras Mhambrey as Bowling Coach ahead of Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). Mhambrey will join the team alongside current Bowling Coach Lasith Malinga, working under the guidance of Head Coach Mahela Jayawardene.

Mhambrey brings a wealth of experience to the Mumbai Indians, having previously served as a bowling coach for the team during their successful campaigns. His contributions were instrumental in the team’s triumphs, including IPL titles in 2013 and Champions League T20 titles in 2011 and 2013.

More recently, Mhambrey played a key role as the bowling coach of the Indian men’s cricket team, culminating in their victory at the T20 World Cup earlier this year. Old success blueprint for Mumbai Indians

Earlier on October 13, the Mumbai Indians made a strategic move to bolster their coaching staff by bringing back Mahela Jayawardene as the Head Coach. Jayawardene, who previously held this position from 2017 to 2022, returned to the team with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success.

This decision marks a significant step forward for the Mumbai Indians as they aim to reclaim their former glory. Jayawardene’s leadership and expertise will undoubtedly be instrumental in guiding the team towards future victories.
