Why does BCCI want to host IPL 2025 auction outside India?
One of the primary reasons that BCCI is not keen on hosting the IPL 2025 auction in India could revolve around the logistical difficulties the high-profile event. The auction involves the attendance of top CEOs, business tycoons, and franchise owners, many of whom are billionaires. Ensuring the security, accommodation, and transportation of such a high-profile group, along with the extensive media coverage, could prove a daunting task within India’s cities.
Initially, the BCCI had considered hosting the 2025 mega auction in London. However, the cold weather during the proposed time of the auction in November ruled out the UK as a viable option.
