The crowd at Arun Jaitley Stadium will be waiting in anticipation as Delhi Capitals mark their return to their original home stadium in Delhi against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday. The Delhi Capitals have been playing their home games at the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam so far. However, they will now play their next home games in Delhi. The DC vs SRH match also marks the homecoming of DC skipper Rishabh Pant who will return to DC’s home ground after 5 years.
Pant’s last game in Delhi was in 2019
Pant last played an IPL game in Feroz Shah Kotla in May, 2019 when Delhi Capitals took on the Rajasthan Royals in their last group stage game in IPL 2019. Delhi Capitals had won that match, with Rishabh Pant scoring 53 off 38 balls.

Pant’s long layoff
Pant suffered a horrific car accident in December 2022 when he was on his way to his home in Uttarakhand. The wicketkeeper-batter suffered major injuries and missed the IPL 2023 altogether. He made a comeback to competitive cricket in IPL 2024 but is yet to play a game in front of the Delhi crowd.
Pant will look to make a mark in his homecoming and guide DC to a victory against a formidable SRH side who has been shattering records left and right.
