IPL 2024: Virat Kohli presents Rinku Singh with bat after RCB vs KKR, displays sportsman spirit despite loss

Kohli had an outstanding performance with the bat, with an unbeaten 83 runs from 59 balls to set a target of 183 runs

After RCB’s defeat against KKR at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Virat Kohli presented KKR’s rising star Rinku Singh with a special gift, a gesture symbolizing mutual respect between players despite being on opposing teams.

This act followed KKR’s dominant victory, marking their sixth consecutive win at RCB’s home ground. Kohli handed over a bat to Rinku in a heartwarming moment captured in a video shared by RCB, showcasing camaraderie in the cricketing fraternity.

The exchange of gifts highlighted appreciation for Rinku’s contributions as a finisher for KKR and the Indian team. Both franchises, RCB and KKR, showcased respect and sportsmanship in their interactions post-match. RCB’s tweet featuring the dressing room chat emphasized the challenges players face and their constant pursuit of solutions.

Although Rinku didn’t have the opportunity to display his batting skills against RCB, he contributed to KKR’s victory, remaining unbeaten at 5 runs as Shreyas Iyer sealed the win with a six. Despite Kohli’s commendable innings of 83 runs, RCB faced their third consecutive defeat to KKR in the league.
