Oh, what could have been! Travis Head was just two hits away from scoring the 2nd fastest IPL hundred of all time. This comes just five days after he scored the fourth hundred of all time. That hundred came in just 39 balls, and if he wasn’t caught by Tristian Stubbs at long on when he was at 89 from just 31 balls.
The southpaw opener needed to score just 11 runs in the next five balls to break Yusuf Pathan’s record. But, unfortunately for him and the Sunrisers Hyderabad, it wasn’t to be. However, Travis Head had done his bit by then. He had given SRH the fastest start ever, along with Abhishek Sharma, as they scored 125 runs in the powerplay.
