IPL 2024: In the recently held IPL 2024 match between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals, GT got bundled under 100 runs, as they registered just 89 in 20 overs. However, this is not the first time the IPL has seen low scores, there have been many occasions in IPL history where we have seen low totals.

The IPL goes with the antithesis of batter’s paradise and bowler’s graveyard. But, that’s not the case on every occasion. Several times batting units have faltered against formidable bowling sides. In this article, we will take a look at teams with lowest score in IPL history.

Lowest score in IPL

RCB hold the record for having the lowest score in IPL. The Red Army were bundled out for just 49 runs while chasing a 130+ run target in Eden Gardens. For KKR, Nathan Coulter-Nile (3/21), Chris Woakes (3/6). Colin de Grandhomme (3/4). and Umesh Yadav (1/15) ran completely through RCB’s batting order.

In the second spot, RCB find themselves on the other side as they bundled out Rajasthan Royals for just 58 runs. IPL 2024, Royals added yet another lowest score to their tally as they were shot down by the same opponent for 59 in Jaipur.

Delhi Capitals holds the record for the fourth (66). and fifth lowest (67). totals in IPL history. DC was bowled out for the paltry scores against Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings for 66. and 67. respectively in IPL 2017.
