After a lot of drama during the IPL trading window on Sunday, Hardik Pandya, now the ex-skipper of Gujarat Titans, finally made a move to Mumbai Indians. While the move might be a topic of debate for many, it has opened the doors for Shubman Gill the Gujarat Giants skipper. GT announced Gill as the captain for the IPL 2024 season on Twitter.
On the other hand, after taking up the responsibility, Shubman Gill expressed gratitude and said in a statement, “I am delighted and proud to assume the Captaincy of Gujarat Titans and thank the franchise for their trust in me to lead such a fine team. We have had two exceptional seasons and I keenly look forward to leading the team with our exciting brand of cricket.” Meanwhile, the IPL trading window will be open till December 12.
