The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise has hit a slight bump on the road to IPL 2024. Fans who purchased live streams of their recent RCB Unbox event will receive a full refund due to technical difficulties.
RCB Unbox Event: Unveiling and Recognition
The annual RCB Unbox event, held on March 19 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, was a star-studded affair.
Fans both at the stadium and watching the live stream on the RCB app witnessed the unveiling of the team’s new IPL 2024 jersey.
Technical Glitches Mar RCB Unbox Event Live Stream
However, the live stream, priced at Rs. 99, was plagued by technical issues due to “extreme demand,” as reported by the franchise. This left many fans disappointed and unable to enjoy the event fully.

Taking full responsibility for the glitch, the RCB franchise announced refunds for all live stream viewers on March 21st. They acknowledged the inconvenience caused and promised a “seamless” experience moving forward.
Unbox Event Highlights Remain
Despite the technical hiccup, the Unbox event had its share of high points. Fans witnessed the felicitation of the victorious RCB Women’s team, who recently clinched the WPL 2024 title. Former RCB fast bowler Vinay Kumar was also inducted into the franchise’s prestigious “Hall of Fame,” becoming the first Indian cricketer to receive the honor.
