Chennai Super Kings star Ravindra Jadeja on Friday brought his team out of a tricky situation by scoring a solid 50 against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. Jadeja, who came in to bat at number 4 position after CSK lost quite a few quick wickets, played a patient innings mixed with aggression to score his first half-century after 2021 in IPL.
First 50 after 3 years
Jadeja came in to bat at a time when Chennai Super Kings were reeling at 33 for 2 after losing the wickets of Rachin Ravindra and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. Ajinkya Rahane departed after adding another 35 runs to the total score, making it difficult for CSK. However, Ravindra Jadeja continued with his onslaught. Jadeja played some wonderful shots and rotated the strike to ensure CSK kept ticking the scoreboard.

Tricky situation handled well
He wasn’t helped by Sameer Rizvi and Shivam Dube’s early dismissals. Moin Ali joined Jadeja at the crease and provided support as the two started displaying their shot-hitting capabilities to ensure CSK moved towards a respectable score.
Jadeja brought up his 50 in 32 balls with the help of 5 boundaries and one over boundary. It was a sensible innings, played at a time when CSK desperately needed a senior batter to step up in times of need.
