IPL 2024 Purple Cap: Harshal Patel remains on top, Avesh Khan enters top five

Harshal Patel has maintained a small lead over Jasprit Bumrah in the race to become the highest wicket-taker of the season.

Punjab Kings pacer Harshal Patel will remain in the top spot in the IPL 2024 Purple Cap race. Patel has 24 wickets, four more than Bumrah’s 20 scalps. With the season coming to an end, Harshal may just end as the highest wicket-taker.

Avesh Khan produced a brilliant spell in the IPL Qualifiers 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He bagged 3 wickets to take his tally to 19 wickets and is placed 5th in the standings.
