Dharamshala is set to remain as one of the home venues for Punjab Kings in IPL 2024. While the Punjab outfits will play their home matches at the newly built Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in Mullanpur. However, PBKS are expected to play their final two home matches at the scenic Dharamshala ground.
Since the start of the tournament, Dharamshala has been the home ground for PBKS. But now with the construction of the new stadium in Mohali, PBKS will host 5 of their home matches in Mullanpur. In fact, the new stadium will host the first game of PBKS when Delhi Capitals travel to play their first match on 23rd March.
The IPL schedule hasn’t been released completely yet. However, as per the latest reports, PBKS are expected to play their final 2 home matches at their favoured stadium
Coming to the new Stadium, PBKS announced a couple days back about their change in home venue. “The stadium, which has hosted domestic matches for the last couple of years, comprises all the modern facilities and top class infrastructure, and can host a capacity of 33,000 fans,” read the Punjab Kings press release.
As per the released schedule, PBKS have only one home game against DC on 23rd March. Following which Shikhar Dhawan and Co will travel to Bangalore, Lucknow and Ahmedabad respectively to face RCB, LSG and GT.
