When India selected its 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, IPL 2024 was on in full flow. Every team was trying hard to make it to the playoffs. On the last day of the Group stage fixtures, only five out of that 15-man squad have succeeded in making it to the playoffs, while 10 of them are out of the tournament.
The ones still there
Among the IPL teams players were selected from, only Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals still remain in the fray. The other two teams, Sunrisers Hyderabad and table-toppers Kolkata Knight Riders have no representation in the India squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, although Rinku Singh of KKR will travel as part of the reserve squad.
The players that are still in contention in IPL are Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj from RCB. From Rajasthan Royals, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal are still in the fray.
