Deepak Hooda (LSG)
In IPL 2022, Deepak Hooda smashed express pacer Varun Aaron to register Lucknow Super Giants first maximum in the history of Indian Premier League. Hooda is still a part of the LSG camp in the ongoing IPL 2024.
Hardik Pandya (GT)
Former Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya took on LSG’s Ravi Bishnoi to hit first six for Gujarat back in IPL 2022. Hardik Pandya left the GT camp after the completion of IPL 2023 and joined Mumbai Indians.
Thisara Perera (SRH)
Former Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera was the first batter to hit a six for SRH in IPL history. He achieved the feat back in 2013 after he smashed Marlon Samuels for a maximum.
Sanath Jayasuriya (MI)
Mumbai Indians veteran opener Sanath Jayasuriya hit a maximum against Jacques Kallis back in the inaugural edition of the IPL.
Gautam Gambhir (DD/DC)
Former Delhi Daredevils (Now Delhi Capitals) opener, Gautam Gambhir took on Munaf Patel to register Delhi’s first maximum in IPL back in 2008.
Taruwar Kohli (RR)
Taruwar Kohli hit the final ball off the first over bowled by Glenn McGrath over cover-point for a six to register Rajasthan Royals first maximum during the inaugural edition of the IPL.
Karan Goel (KXIP/PBKS)
Punjab Kings (formerly known as Kings XI Punjab) batter Karan Goel hit Manpreet Gony for a six in the second match of the IPL 2008.
Matthew Hayden (CSK)
No prizes here for guessing. Former CSK opener Matthew Hayden was the first batter from the Chennai camp to hit a maximum in IPL. He achieved the feat back in 2008.
Jacques Kallis (RCB)
Last but not the least, former SA all-rounder Jacques Kallis hit a maximum against KKR in the opening match of IPL. Despite his efforts with the bat, the Red Army went on to lose that match thanks to Brendon McCullum’s brilliance with the bat.
