IPL 2024: Players KKR may consider as Mujeeb ur Rahman replacement if he is unavailable

After Afghanistan Cricket Board decided not to grant NOC to Mujeeb ur Rahman, KKR would be looking for his replacement.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) may need to find a replacement for Mujeeb ur Rahman after the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has decided not to grant a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Mujeeb ur Rahman, Fazal Haq Farooqi, and Naveen Ul Haq for overseas franchise-based leagues for the next two years.

The decision has been taken as a disciplinary measure as these players prioritized leagues over national cricket.

Players KKR may consider as Mujeeb ur Rahman replacement

KKR had bought Mujeeb for 2 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction, but now they have to look for his replacement if he does not show up in the upcoming IPL 2024.

Adil Rashid

Adil Rashid can be a good option for KKR, as he has decent records in India. He has taken two wickets in three IPL matches.

Tabraiz Shamsi

The South African spinner is another pick for KKR to replace Mujeeb Ur Rahman. He has invented himself as a T20 format specialist. Shamsi has played five IPL matches and picked up three wickets.

Ish Sodhi

Ish Sodhi has not played in the IPL since 2019. KKR may buy him. He has played eight IPL matches and picked up nine wickets.
