IPL 2024: PBKS & DC to travel over 5,500kms in first 12 days, CSK & RCB get easy pass

As IPL 2024 begins on March 22, teams will have the challenge of travel fatigue. Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will travel most.

IPL 2024 is almost here and thus begins Bharat Darshan for most IPL teams. Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will suffer the most the two sides will travel over 5500 kilometers in the first 12 days of the tournament alone. However, Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore and MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings will have it easy.

And that data is only for the first 21 matches. BCCI has released only first 15 days of the schedule as the Indian board awaits Lok Sabha Election dates.

However, with that amount of travel involved in the early summer of India, players might face fatigue as well as injury scare ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Punjab Kings

But in the first phase, Punjab Kings will be the most travelled team, accumulating 5582 kilometres in the first four matches. That is an average of 465 kms of travel each day.

Punjab Kings begin their campaign at home in Mullanpur Stadium in Mohali. From there, PBKS will be on the road for three consecutive away matches. From Mohali, PBKS will travel to Bengaluru from there to Lucknow and then to Ahmedabad.
