Mayank Yadav is on a record-breaking spree. The pace-bowling menace has already pocketed several records and has continued to wow the world with his raw and brutal pace. As if having six poles to his name and consistently clocking 150 kmph as if it weren’t enough, he has become the first ever in the history of the IPL to take home the ‘Player of the Match’ award in their first two matches.
Another day, another POTM award for Mayank Yadav
Mayank had claimed a 3-fer in his debut game three games ago, took another 3-fer in the RCB vs LSG match, and was given the POTM award once again. He had breached the 155 barrier twice in the game and became the only individual to go past the mark thrice after clocking a rapid 156.7 delivery.
The prized wickets of Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, and Rajat Patidar and an economy of 3.5 handed him the POTM award. His first ball changed the course of the match, with Faf du Plessis getting run-out on it, and then he struck just three balls later, sending Maxwell back for a duck off a venomous 151-kilometer bouncer.
