A tiring Lucknow-Guwahati-Varanasi detour for KKR
Kolkata Knight Riders players had a rough night after their flight from Lucknow to Kolkata was repeatedly diverted due to severe weather conditions. After a resounding 98-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday, the team was set to leave Lucknow for Kolkata on Monday evening at 5:45 PM. They were expected to arrive in Kolkata by 7:25 PM.
However, due to adverse weather conditions, the charter flight was rerouted, first to Guwahati, and then to Varanasi. The team’s 90-minute journey ended up taking over seven hours, with their final diversion landing them in Varanasi at about 1:15 AM. Given the situation, the team had to spend the night in Varanasi.
