IPL 2024: Huge demand for Shamar Joseph as IPL teams get ready to pounce on Gabba hero

IPL 2024: High demand for Shamar Joseph in IPL with teams ready to pounce on emerging superstar

Former RCB analyst has opened about IPL franchise’s interest in going for Shamar Joseph. Prasanna is currently the analyst of Amazon Warriors in Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He has went on to claim that 3 IPL teams have approached him in inquiring about the West Indian sensation.

The former Royal Challengers Bangalore analyst went on to claim that he advised the IPL teams to go for the rising sensation for base price during the IPL 2024 Auction. But apparently the West Indies pacer went unsold.

3 IPL franchise’s have approached me requesting contact details to reach out to Shamar’s agent. I can remember advising them to pick shamar in the auctions for base price which unfortunately none of them did. Will surely advise shamar which franchisee to chose,” he wrote on Social Media.

West Indies pulled off a sensation win in Gabba when they went on to beat Australia. The visitors scripted a 8-run victory and Shamar Joseph shined by scalping a 7-fer.

Though Shamar Joseph has claimed that he wants to prioritise Test Cricket over T20Is, he is been in a huge demand by IPL teams who want to bolster their pace attack. On the other hand, Joseph is currently nursing a toe injury. As a result, Joseph will miss ILT20 league.
