IPL 2024 Final: Who said what after Kolkata Knight Riders’ triumph

Kolkata Knight Riders have clinched the IPL 2024 trophy , and rightly so, they have convincingly beaten SRH in no time. Take a look at who said what after KKR's epic win

That’s all from IPL 2024 as KKR has clinched the IPL title for the third time. It’s fair to say they clinched the title easily as the team dismantled Sunrisers Hyderabad in no time. SRH, who got bundled out for 113 runs in 19 overs, while Kolkata Knight Riders made all those runs within 11 overs.

Speaking of champions, KKR has many stars who made this possible, not only the players who played the game but also those behind the scenes. Let’s check out who said what after this win.

Who said what after Kolkata Knight Riders

Bharat Arun (Bowling coach ): I think it was pretty tough, the last two years. It was touch and go – we didn’t qualify. It needed a lot of introspection and now we can savour this moment. [On Harshit Rana] He has been outstanding. It’s about backing your strengths. [On Mitch Starc] I think Mitch coming into the team boosted the confidence of other youngsters in the side. He is probably the best bowler in the world. Once he understood the Indian conditions, he was excellent.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz: [on how his mom is doing] I think she will be watching, she is OK now. Before the match I spoke to my mom – I asked what do u want, she said, nothing just win. Salty played really well and my expectation was as the World Cup was coming, I wanted to prepare, also I had to be ready if Salty got injured, I got it and I was well prepared. Twice I’m champion of IPL, I’m lucky. When you work hard for 2 months and the result when it comes like this is special.

Abhishek Nayar (KKR assistant coach): It means everything. It has taken a very long time. I have been with the IPL for 16 years and it has taken me so many years to be a champion. The big man is here, this means a lot for him (on Russell).

Angkrish Raghuvanshi :  It’s yet to sink in yet. Maybe it will need a party at the night.

Rinku Singh: My dream of seven years is complete. It was God’s plan that we lift the trophy.

Nitish Rana: I want to share one short story that when GG bhaiya was named mentor, I sent him a long message. But he said he would be happy if we stood at the podium.

Ramandeep Singh: It has been hard and we will celebrate now. The environment has been amazing and we gelled well together.

Harshit Rana: I cannot tell how happy I am.

Suyash Sharma: Great environment. GG and other coaches have created a nice environment.

Venkatesh Iyer: Really happy with it. As Varun mentioned, Abhishek Nayar deserves all the credit in the world. Some contributions go unnoticed, I want to make sure they don’t.

Varun Chakravarathy: All I can think right now is of the person who built this Indian core: Abhishek Nayar. “Please come here,” he asks Abhishek to join.

Andre Russell: No words to describe [holds his tears]. It means so much. I am happy that all of us were very disciplined and worked towards one goal. This franchise has done a lot for me. It’s a big gift from all of us to them.
