The IPL 2024 campaign is something that the Mumbai Indians team management and it’s players would like to forget as quickly as possible. Adding wound to the 10th place finish this season, MI missed the services of their star batter Tilak Varma in their last game against LSG. MI skipper Hardik Pandya during the toss announced that Tilak was injured and hence missed out from the game.
Tilak Varma misses LSG game
“We know where we stand but ending the tournament with a win will always be appreciated. It gives us more freedom to go out and express ourselves and play a good brand of cricket. Not much to think about. A couple of changes. Jassi is not there so Arjun plays. Tilak unfortunately has an injury and Brevis comes in. Tim misses out as well,” Pandya said at the toss.

Tilak a rare bright spot
Tilak Varma has been one of the few bright spots for Mumbai Indians in an otherwise hugely disappointing campaign. The MI batter looked calm and composed in an otherwise jittery batting line up.
The middle-order batter scored 416 runs in 13 matches for MI. This was the first time in Tilak’s career that he breached the 400-run mark barrier. He scored three 50s during the tournament at an impressive strike rate of almost 150.
