IPL 2024: Clueless Virat Kohli sitting alone in dressing room after LSG loss isn’t the best sight

Virat Kohli was seen dejected in the RCB dressing room after his side lost their third league stage fixture of IPL 2024

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) struggles in IPL 2024 continued as they fell short against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a recent home match. While the entire team would be disappointed with the result, all eyes were on Virat Kohli, the former RCB captain who also sports the Orange Cap currently.

Following RCB’s third loss of the season, a video circulated on social media that showed a visibly frustrated Kohli sitting alone in the dressing room after the defeat.

Dressed in his team colors, the modern-day master slumped on a chair, deep in thought. This image has struck a chord with fans as it portrays a stark contrast to the usual aggressive and animated Kohli on the field, who usually enjoys his time with his teammates.

The visuals after the match could be seen as a reflection on how the Bengaluru-based franchise has fared so far this season. The franchise has been one of the most underperforming franchises, losing three of their four league matches thus far.

How has Virat Kohli fared so far in IPL 2024?

Despite his team’s struggles, Virat Kohli has looked in superb touch with the bat. In four IPL 2024 innings so far, the former Indian captain has accumulated 203 runs at an immaculate average of 67.66 and at a strike rate of 140.97.

In fact, while Kohli’s 203 runs are the most by any batter in the tournament so far, the second-best batter for RCB is Dinesh Karthik, who only has 90 runs. This statistic only goes to show the clear signs how much RCB have been dependent on their superstar Kohli.
