Franchises went all out for Indian players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Auction. Harshal Patel who was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bagged the biggest bid as an Indian in the latest IPL auction. He was fetched by Punjab Kings (PBKS) at whopping price of 11.75 crore.
Uncapped players had party in the auction as top 4 highest paid Indian players have not played any International match. Sameer Rizvi bagged 8.5 crore, going to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) while Shahrukh Khan was bought by Gujarat Titans (GT) at 7.5 crore. Kumar Kushagra and Shivam Mavi were surprise buys at the IPL 2024 Auction.

Total of 72 players were sold at the latest auction with a price of 230.45 crores. It was a pacers’ auction as main bids were made on fast bowlers.
