Kumar Kushagra (INR 7.20 crore)
Jharkhand’s young batter Kumar Kushagra made headlines in the 2024 auction as he was bought by Delhi Capitals for a whopping Rs 7.20 crore. Kushagra, with a base price of 20 lakh, attracted immediate interest from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans. Eventually, it was Delhi Capitals who secured the talented player. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy recently, chasing 355 against Maharashtra, he came in at No. 6 for Jharkhand and hit an unbeaten 67 off 37 balls to clinch an improbable win.
Sameer Rizwi (INR 8.4 crore)
Talented batter Sameer Rizwi was purchased by CSK for INR 8.4 crore. Rizwi, with a base price of Rs 20 lakh, witnessed a bidding war between CSK and Gujarat Titans. However, it was CSK who emerged victorious in the end. Rizwi in UPT20 league this year, scored 455 runs in 10 matches at an average of over 50, with two tons and a fifty.
Shubham Dubey (INR 5.8 crore)
Rajasthan Royals (RR) managed to acquire the uncapped batter Shubham Dubey after a fierce bidding war with Delhi Capitals. Dubey, who scored 221 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this year, was eventually bought by the one-time champions.
