In the IPL 2024 Auction, Sameer Rizvi bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at 8.40 crores. He became the 8th most expensive uncapped Indian player in IPL auction. Shahrukh Khan also clinched 7.40 crore bid by Gujarat Titans (GT).
