Harshal is an experienced customer in IPL, having played 91 matches in the tournament since making his debut in 2012. The fast-bowler has taken 111 wickets across his long IPL career.
In spite of his long career in IPL, 2023 has not been a good year for Harshal in terms of playing for the national team. He has featured only one for Team India in T20Is this year, in a match vs Sri Lanka in January at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He picked up two wickets in the match. However, his expensive economy rate of over 10 runs proved to be a deterring factor in his selection in the Indian team in T20I fixtures since then.
