Archer’s sheer pace proved to be a blessing for Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma as they took the Jamaica-born player to the cleaners. In the 16th over of Punjab’s innings, Archer bowled a fiery 152.6 kmph bouncer that went over Jitesh Sharma’s head like a rocket. The batter had no clue where the ball was and couldn’t connect any bat to it.
However, The Punjab Kings’ batting duo punished the pacer in the remaining balls and dented Archer’s spell. After a 22-run over, Archer gave away 27 runs in the 19th over as Punjab Kings comfortably crossed the 200-run mark.
That was just a rocket of a delivery from Jofra Archer.

Earlier, MI won the toss and opted to field first. Kings lost their opener, Prabhsimran Singh, early on. However, the team managed to stabilize the innings with Shikhar Dhawan and Matt Short at the crease.
The real hero of the Kings’ innings was Liam Livingstone who played a brilliant knock of 82 runs off just 42 balls. Jitesh Sharma also played an important role, scoring 49 off 27 balls. The duo put up a magnificent 119-run partnership, taking the team to a massive total of 214/3.
The highlight of Sharma’s innings was the 13th over where he dominated Jofra Archer, considered one of the best pacers in the world. Archer started the over with a no-ball, giving Sharma a free hit. Sharma took full advantage of the opportunity and hit Archer for three consecutive fours.
Later, Liam Livingstone took on his countrymate and smokes 3 consecutive sixes off the pacer to inflict more pain on MI.
