The Delhi Capitals are hosting their IPL Camp in Kolkata. Though the camp is missing quite a few players who are out playing in the Ranji Trophy or International cricket, the Delhi camp is keen on starting their new IPL campaign on a good note.
“We started the camp yesterday (Sunday). We are yet to get the entire squad. Quite a few players are missing after having qualified for the semis in the Ranji Trophy. Others are busy playing International cricket. I have experience in cricket and I am here to help the team,” Ganguly told News18 Bangla.

Delhi Capitals have been performing well in the recent past but the silverware has eluded the Delhi outfits. Ganguly plans on bringing the trophy home. The former BCCI President also mentioned that skipper Rishabh Pant will be a big miss for the entire squad. However, Ganguly is confident that the team will manage with the destructive wicket-keeping batter.
“We plan on playing well. In the last 3 years, we have come close to lifting the Trophy. Rishabh Pant will be a big miss, but I’m sure we will manage. Mukesh (Kumar) is there in the team. He has bowled throughout the season and therefore I didn’t ask him to bowl. He is also scheduled to play the Ranji Trophy semi-finals.”
“It remains to be seen if we can take Abhishek Porel on the team. He came for trials. There is also spot for Bengali players. If they play well, they will get a chance,” he concluded
