“He should be able to play a full part in the IPL and as always his franchisee and the ECB will manage his workload,” an ECB source told Cricbuzz.

The England pacer has been plagued by injuries over the past couple of years but has confirmed his availability for the entire IPL season. The news comes as a big boost to the five-time champions, who face the prospect of Jasprit Bumrah being ruled out for the season.
Both IPL and ECB sources have confirmed the fast bowler’s availability. However, ECB will monitor his workload during the tournament given his injury record. It is unclear how the English board will manage his workload, but MI could very well receive guidelines on the number of matches he can feature in.

Archer was previously associated with MI and the franchise will have an idea of his fitness. He played his first major competitive game for MI Cape Town in the SA20 in January. Archer played five matches in the tournament and returned for England in the three-match ODI series against SouthAfrica.
