  • Rajasthan Royals
  • Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals)
  • Pune Warriors India
  • Sunrisers Hyderabad
  • Mumbai Indians
  • Gujarat Lions
  • Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings)
  • Royal Challengers Bangalore

The right-handed batter came in as a replacement for Alex Hales. The England opener pulled out at the last moment. Finch was slotted to open the innings alongside Ajinkya Rahane. However, the Australian batter failed to deliver with the bat. In five outings, Finch added 86 runs to his profile at an ordinary average of 17.20.

KKR probably had released Finch anyway: The two-time IPL champions were all set to release Finch anyway. KKR recently acquired the services of Afghanistan’s talented opening batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz from the defending champions Gujarat Titans. The dasher did not get a single game for GT as the Titans continued to persist with Matthew Wade and then Wriddhiman Saha.

Not only Gurbaz, but the Men in Purple and Gold have also brought back their express pacer Lockie Ferguson for the next season. Ferguson was picked by GT after KKR decided not to retain the Kiwi pacer during IPL 2022 Mega Auction. However, he will now be joining the KKR camp once again.
